Principal's Corner

Welcome to Vicenza Elementary School – Home of the Cougar Cubs!

It is my absolute honor to serve as the principal of Vicenza Elementary School. Our school is a vibrant and supportive learning community where children are at the heart of everything we do. As a former first- and second-grade teacher, I know firsthand the power of strong relationships and the importance of creating a joyful, safe, and inclusive environment for every learner.

At Vicenza Elementary, we understand the unique journey of military families and deeply value the strength and resilience you bring to our school. Our faculty and staff are committed to providing high-quality instruction aligned with college and career readiness standards, ensuring that every child is equipped with the knowledge and skills to thrive in a dynamic, global world.

Family partnership is essential to student success, and we warmly invite you to be active participants in our school community. Whether through PTSA, the School Advisory Committee, volunteering in the classroom, or simply staying connected with your child’s learning, your involvement makes a meaningful difference.

Even though we’re a large school, Vicenza Elementary maintains a close-knit, caring atmosphere—something I treasure deeply. I’m excited to continue building strong connections and working alongside you to support the growth and achievement of every Cougar Cub.

Together, we are shaping the future—one child at a time.

Warmly,
Andy Gann
Principal, Vicenza Elementary School

May is National Speech-Language-Hearing Month - a time to recognize the importance of communication and to honor the professionals who make it possible for so many students to find their voice. Across the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) schools, Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) play a vital role in supporting student success, regardless of location, language, or need. Though separated by oceans and time zones, DoDEA SLPs have found a powerful way to stay connected and collaborate through a Microsoft TEAMS group that spans the globe.
