This Week's Cougar Cubs Highlights

Hello VES Families,

We enjoyed some beautiful warmer weather this week and had another successful week of learning at Vicenza Elementary! Our recent grade-level performance was a wonderful success, and it was great to see our students shine and share their hard work.

As always, student safety during dismissal remains a top priority. Buses have the right of way in the afternoon, and all POV traffic will be held until buses have safely departed campus. Thank you for your patience and cooperation in helping us keep our students safe.

We are proud that our students continue to be safe, happy, and engaged in their learning, and we are looking forward to another great week together next week!

PTSA Highlights

The deadline to order yearbooks is coming up on March 6th. This is a great opportunity to have a record of all the new friends your student has made and all the fun school wide activities they have participated in this year so don't miss out!

We would like to remind parents to double check their students photo release status because if they are listed as no media whatsoever they will not be included in the yearbook. If you need to make changes please contact the front office.

PTSA Updates & Opportunities to Help

The PTSA has several opportunities coming up to support our school community!

Volunteers are needed to help pop and bag popcorn on March 19 and to deliver popcorn on March 20. If you have a little time to lend a hand, your help will help make this a fun treat for our students.

Also, don’t forget that the Spirit Wear order deadline is March 20. Be sure to place your order so you can show your school pride around campus.

4th & 5th Grade Instrumental Concert

On Tuesday, March 10 at 9:00 AM, Vicenza Elementary School hosted the 4th and 5th Grade Instrumental Concert in the MPR. Students showcased their musical skills through a variety of instruments including ukulele, xylophone, metallophone, piano, and non-pitched percussion instruments. Families and staff enjoyed watching our talented students perform and demonstrate the hard work they have put into learning rhythm, melody, and ensemble performance.

Congratulations to Ms. Preece and her students for a wonderful performance. Her preparation and dedication helped create a fun and memorable musical experience for our school community.

Money and Commerce in Ms. Ahearn Er's 2nd Grade

Ms. Ahearn Er's second graders learned about money and commerce by making our own things to sell, bringing them to school, & setting up shops at lunchtime in the class. Students used play money to buy the wares of their classmates.
