Vicenza ES Newsletter

After 45 years of dedicated service to students, families, and schools, Vicenza Elementary School proudly celebrates the remarkable career of Mrs. Linda Testa as she enters a well-earned retirement.

Ms. Williams' first graders recently added a musical twist to their literacy learning by singing fairy tale stories to the tune of Jingle Bells. Using their Benchmark Advance Reading and Writing Journals from Unit 4, students transformed familiar fairy tale elements into fun, rhythmic songs.

We are excited to announce that VES will be hosting Chess Club for students in grades 3–5, meeting each Tuesday after school! Whether your child is brand new to chess or already loves the game, Chess Club is a fun way to build critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and good sportsmanship while having a great time with friends.

Students in grades K–5 recently participated in our first annual North Pole Games during Physical Education, and the gym was filled with energy, teamwork, and plenty of smiles. Throughout the unit, students “earned” North Pole money by completing a variety of physical exercises. Once they earned their money, they had the opportunity to spend it on engaging and festive activity stations set up around the gym.
