Hello Cougar Cubs Families!
Hi Families! We have had another productive week here at VES! From student presentations to Professional Development, Cougar Cubs of all ages have been busy! We also welcomed Dr Jayme Linton, Chief Academic Officer, Dr. Michelle Brahaney-Howard, Director of Student Excellence for the Region and Dr. Elizabeth Fales, Europe South District Superintendent.

Vicenza ES Fifth Graders Showcase Native American Research and Model Projects
This week, Vicenza Elementary School fifth graders proudly presented their Native American culture projects during a special gallery walk event. After several weeks of research, writing, and hands-on model building, students transformed their classrooms into interactive learning spaces filled with dioramas, structures, artifacts, and written reports.
CCR Professional Learning at VES: Supporting Clarity in the Classroom
On Monday, Vicenza Elementary School teachers participated in a College and Career Ready professional learning session centered on strengthening Teacher Clarity in the classroom. The session, led by Assistant Principal Brian Newsom, continued the schoolwide effort to help students better understand what they are learning and how to achieve success.
ADT Focus: Unlocking Behavioral Learning – Part II
During ADT this Wednesday, teachers continued their work with Unlocking Behavioral Learning: The Core 8 Steps – Part II. This session focused on practical strategies for recognizing student behaviors, responding with clarity and consistency, and creating supportive learning environments that help every child succeed. Teachers engaged in discussion, reflection, and hands-on application to strengthen their use of the Core 8 Steps in daily practice.
