Happy (early) Thanksgiving! 🦃

As we look ahead to the holiday next week, we want to wish all of our families a warm and relaxing Thanksgiving. We are grateful for your continued support and partnership.

With the colder weather settling in, please make sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately—warm coat, hat, gloves, and closed-toe shoes—so they can stay comfortable and safe during arrival, recess, and dismissal.

Reminder About Dismissal Procedures
We’d also like to remind families of our dismissal procedures. School dismissal is at 2:35 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and at 1:35 p.m. on Wednesday. Buses dismiss at 2:50 p.m. on regular days and 1:50 p.m. on Wednesdays. During these times, buses have the right of way, and all POV (personally owned vehicle) traffic will be held until all buses have departed. This procedure ensures buses arrive promptly at their stops for student drop-offs and supports DoDEA’s contractual guidelines with transportation providers. Families who wish to avoid extended wait times during afternoon dismissal may consider the Commissary bus stop as an alternate pick-up location; however, parents will need to visit the School Bus Office to inquire about signing up for this option.
