This Week's Cougar Cubs Highlights

As we close out this special week honoring our veterans, we want to express our deepest gratitude to all who have served and to the families who stand beside them. Your courage, sacrifice, and dedication inspire our entire school community. Our Cougar Cubs have spent the week learning about the significance of Veterans Day and reflecting on what it means to serve others—thank you for helping us instill these values of respect and appreciation in our students.

With the arrival of colder weather, please remember to send students to school dressed appropriately for the season. Coats, hats, and gloves help keep everyone warm, comfortable, and ready to learn during outdoor play and transitions.

We’d also like to remind families of our dismissal procedures. School dismissal is at 2:35 p.m. on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and at 1:35 p.m. on Wednesday. Buses dismiss at 2:50 p.m. on regular days and 1:50 p.m. on Wednesdays. During these times, buses have the right of way, and all POV (personally owned vehicle) traffic will be held until all buses have departed. This procedure ensures buses arrive promptly at their stops for student drop-offs and supports DoDEA’s contractual guidelines with transportation providers. Families who wish to avoid extended wait times during afternoon dismissal may consider the Commissary bus stop as an alternate pick-up location; however, parents will need to visit the School Bus Office to inquire about signing up for this option.

Thank you for your ongoing patience, cooperation, and Cougar Pride as we work together to ensure safety, efficiency, and a strong sense of community here at Vicenza Elementary. Stay warm, stay kind, and thank you for helping make our school a wonderful place to learn and grow!

With appreciation,
The Vicenza Elementary School Team 💛🐾
