Read Across America Week: March 2–6, 2026

Get ready to celebrate reading with an Olympic twist! During the week of March 2–6, our school will take part in Read Across America with daily spirit days and a schoolwide focus on building a love of books.

Each day will feature a fun theme:

• Monday, March 2 – Italian Day
  Wear anything related to Italy, the Olympics, Vicenza, or PTSA spirit wear.
• Tuesday, March 3 – Parade of Nations Day
  Wear your nation’s colors and bring your flags or banners. The parade will take place at the end of the day before dismissal, following a route as before in front of all the schools. Parents, as well as middle and high school students, are invited to attend.
• Wednesday, March 4 – Sports Day
  Dress like your favorite athlete or wear a sports jersey.
• Thursday, March 5 – Champion Day
  Wear gold and read like a champion.
• Friday, March 6 – Pajama Day
  Wind down the week with a good book in your coziest pajamas.

In addition, we will hold a daily schoolwide Drop Everything and Read (DEAR) time for 20 minutes. The specific time will be announced each day.

We look forward to celebrating reading together and “going for the gold” all week long.
